Novomatic makes key executive and management appointments. Greentube - the digital arm of Austrian gaming technology group Novomatic has appointed Felipe Ludeña as Chief Sportsbook Officer. He thus moves within the company with the aim of strengthening the cooperation between the two subsidiaries. At the same time, Georg Gubo takes over the positions of COO and GM, which means he will sit in the executive suite at both companies. At Greentube, Felipe Ludeña has already been in office since August 1, 2022, while Georg Gubo is currently responsible as Managing Director at Admiral Sportwetten. George Gubo has also served as vice president at the German Online Casino Association (Deutscher Online Casino Verband e.V.) since December 2019 and has filled various executive level roles at internet subsidiary Greentube since moving from IGT to the Novomatic Group.

Novomatic aims to leverage synergies between Admiral and Greentube
Novomatic continues its transformation program unabated in all areas. The central business unit "Global Operations" has already been restructured in May 2021 and before that a new sales and production structure has already been implemented under the responsibility of Jakob Rothwangl. The utilization of synergy potentials is a top priority in the context of the structural change, which means that Admiral and Greentube will cooperate more closely in the future. In view of the interconnectedness of online sports betting and virtual slot games, which may be legally offered on one platform in Germany, for example, this is quite understandable. As can be seen from the Greentube press release, the ambitious goal of this restructuring is to strengthen the online gambling and other related online entertainment sectors.

The changes in the management of Novomatic's subsidiaries are intended to promote the exchange of experience in order to create an advantage in the market. To this end, Felipe Ludeña will move to the company's Management Board to strengthen the cooperation between the two brands Admiral and Greentube. Georg Gubo will also combine his previous position as Managing Director at Admiral Sportwetten with his current role as COO of Greentube. This appointment will enable Admiral and Greentube to further expand their clout in the online sector. Ludeña, who now serves as Chief Sportsbook Officer at Greentube and Managing Director at Admiral Sportwetten (Novo Interactive in Germany), is correspondingly optimistic about the future.
Greentube sets its sights on betting sector
Greentube actually functions as an online casino provider as well as a development studio for slot machines and software solutions in the field of virtual gambling. Its main competitor is Microgaming, which developed some famous online slots. If you’ve never heard of them, read the Bush Telegraph review. It is not for nothing that the brand has acquired the designation "Novomatic Digital Gaming and Entertainment Division" within the group of companies. However, the function of filling the online entertainment division of Novomatic Interactive is no longer limited to slot games and table games. Furthermore, the Vienna-based company is now actively involved in sports betting and, for example, expanded its position in the eSports sector last year with the acquisition of HERO.

Greentube explained that behind the restructuring is an effort to strengthen online casino content development and Novomatic's B2C sports betting brand. As both companies are part of the Novomatic Group and specialize in different areas such as online casinos and sports betting, the group expects the personnel changes to "strengthen the cooperation" between betting operators and online gambling. In terms of strategy development, the companies will thus cooperate more intensively in order to jointly strive for a stronger market presence with innovative offers for internet casinos and online betting.
